
What is Prostate Cancer?
Prostate cancer is an abnormal cell growth developed in the prostate gland and is one the most common cancers in men. In many cases the cancer will develop very slowly and confined to the prostate gland. Patients may choose to just observe (surveillance) in such case and also has the best chance for successful treatment.

Treatment
Low grade cancers may not need treatment. Your doctor may recommend active surveillance by routine follow-ups will prescribed tests. Cases that need treatment have several options depending on the disease stage. Options are as followed:

◼️ Radiation Therapy
◼️ Ablative Therapy – Used for treating small cancers which when surgery is not possible by using either freezing or heating prostate tissue method
